Hey, everyone. I recently got into the pairing of Bunnymund and Jack Frost from the movie Rise of the Guardians or BunnyFrost for short and an idea for said pairing came to me. Now before I post my big story idea for this pairing I wanted to, how do you say, test the waters and indulge you all with some one-shots and drabbles to see if you like how I write. So, on we go to test one!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was a pleasant warm spring day, as it usually is in the Underground Warren, and Bunnymund was tending to forest that he took care of. When he finished his rounds he walked to his hut and sat down on the clover-stuffed couch and sighed tiredly.

"Whew, glad I finished my patrol. It's nice to finally be able to get this armor off. I think I might have to get a bigger size made, they're getting a little tight."The Pooka said to himself as he unlatched the armor from his ankles, forearms and around his torso. He set everything on the table and then stretched his long legs. "Well, time to go and check on that special project of mine."Bunnymund said and got up once more and walked towards the back of his hut where he kept his special plants. And back there, was a very special plant.

The Pooka opened the back room door and closed it behind himself and took a moment to gaze upon the large green house that his people had built a long time ago. He walked past the rare flowers and trees and made it to his crowning glory, a very rare breed of flowers that he's been taking care of for a long time now. He grabbed the watering can of mystic spring water and poured it gently into the potted soil the flowers were nesting in. Bunnymund then looked at the biggest and most beautiful flower in the bunch, the one that was the latest to bloom out of the rest. The thought made him chuckle a bit.

"You're a lot like the person I plan to give you to, friend, what with how you were late blooming in all. But you're just in time for my plans tomorrow."Bunnymund said with a smile on his face.

Later on Bunnymund had gone to the human world and got to the small town Jack was guarding over. Despite it being spring in his home it was autumn in the human's world and it was raining in the midafternoon. The Pooka hopped around from the rooftops of the town to see if Jack was up top but he wasn't, so then he went down below to search for Jack in the shadows but he wasn't there either. At this point Bunnymund figured that if Jack wasn't in the town itself then he was in the woods nearby. He hopped out of the city and when he got to the woods he started to look for the teenaged snow spirit. He as he walked deeper into the drenched woods he could start to see his breath in front of him and so he figured that he was getting closer to Jack. Then strangely enough Bunnymund also started to hear soft singing. This struck him as odd because he didn't sense any human so it couldn't have been one singing. Maybe it was a nymph or pixie. Continuing forward Bunnymund pushed past the lightly snow covered thick bushes and what he found made him gasp softly.

There was Jack Frost in the middle of the secluded woodland area, but he wasn't just sitting around or playing with his powers. He was....dancing, and quite gracefully too. The snow spirit didn't seem to notice Bunnymund because he gave no witty remark. Then when he opened his mouth, a melodious voice came out.

"As sure as the flowers bloom and as sure as the sun shines, spring and summer will come around every time. As sure as the leaves change and as sure as the snow falls, autumn and winter will bring joy to all. Four seasons so different and yet all so the same, because what they share together is the hope with which they came. As sure as the rainbow glows and as sure as the stars burn bright, the happiness and love in our hearts will all grow to new heights."Jack sang in a beautifully soft tone that Bunnymund never thought him capable of having.

The snow spirit then began to hum softly and spun around gracefully, the snow he made seemingly dancing along with him in human-like forms. At this point the Pooka decided to make his appearance known and cleared his throat loud enough for Jack to hear. Said immortal teen gasped and the indistinctive snow figures disappeared in puffs as he turned around to meet a smug smirking bunny.

"Well kid I must say I am impressed. The last time I heard singing that lovely and seen dancing that graceful was when I ran into a trio of bewitching harpies. Never knew you had such talent but it sure suits you somehow."Bunnymund said as he stepped out of the bushes and into the clearing.

"Oh my God, how long have you been there?"Jack asked nervously.

"Long enough. At least, long enough to hear the song."Bunnymund said with a smirk.

"Ah, damn it! I can't believe this! You better not tell the others about this Kangaroo, especially North. He's been looking for a practice dancing partner to brush up on his dancing skills for his and the wife's wedding anniversary and his hands aren't exactly gentle."Jack said and tried to calm down his blush, the red color making his abnormally pale skin look normally tan.

"Don't worry Frostbite. Your secret is safe with me. Besides, why would I want to share such a discovery anyway when I can have it to myself?"The Pooka asked as his smirk turned more into a fond smile.

"What do you mean by that?"Jack asked curiously.

"Eh, never mind it. I came here to ask how things are going with you."Bunnymund asked.

"How things are going? Well, uh, alright I guess. Sure there's the occasional crook in town but nothing I can't handle."The snow spirit explained with a proud smile.

"That's nice. Meet anyone new lately?"Bunnymund asked as he walked towards a shrub and brushed some snow off.

"I'm not sure I understand. What do you mean by 'anyone new'?"Jack asked curiously.

"I mean, is there anyone occupying your time in an intimate type of way."Bunnymund explained. Jack looked at him oddly for a moment before his eyes widened in realization at what his fellow Guardian meant and once again he blushed.

"Oh, that kind of 'anyone new'. Well no not really. None of the humans interest me and neither do any supernatural creatures. So I'm pretty much single."Jack said somewhat shyly. At hearing the snow spirit's answer Bunnymund inwardly sighed in relief. Now it was time for the kill.

"I see. Well if someone came up to you asking for a date, would you say yes?"Bunnymund asked as he walked over towards Jack.

"Maybe, I never really thought about dating to be honest. Mostly because I'm a special case and never thought I could find some to like me that way."Jack explained.

"What do you mean by special case? Do you mean you're being immortal?"The Pooka asked.

"Not really, no. I mean….well I don't exactly have the typical romantic interests that most guys do. And because of my own interests I doubt that anyone, whether it's a human or a creature, would find me to be their perfect type."Jack explained and turned away. Bunnymund's eyebrows scrunched in thought before rising slightly after he figured out what Jack might mean.

"Are you trying to say that you prefer males instead of females?"Bunnymund asked carefully. Jack laughed a little at this, but the laugh was humorless.

"That's a far nicer way to put it than most humans and supernatural creatures today word it. I believe the term the humans made for it is 'fag'. For supernatural creatures the title they use is harem boy. It's a bit old fashioned but it's a favorite."The snow spirit said and though Bunnymund couldn't see his fellow Guardian's face his sharp emotional sense almost physically feels Jack's depressing drop in mood. This made the Pooka frown sympathetically and he walked closer until he was less than a foot apart from Jack.

"Not all humans and creatures are perfect, Jack. Just as they can be the kindest and loving folks they can also be the most hateful and prejudice. But there are still some good ones out there. And even some who would consider you to be more than their perfect type."Bunnymund said but Jack gave a disbelieving scoff.

"Yeah, sure. Not even Sandy could make a dream that perfect. Who in the world would possibly find me as their perfect type without me having to ask Cupid to use a love spell on the guy?"Jack asked.

"Me."Bunnymund said simply and Jack did a double take and he turned to face the Pooka.

"What? What the hell do you…."But his question was stopped when he felt a pleasantly fuzzy pair of lips on his and strong arms wrap around his waist.

Jack's eyes grew to a size that nearly dislocated his eyebrows. He just couldn't believe this. He was being kissed by Bunnymund, his comrade in arms, his mentor. The snow spirit wanted to say friend but it was clear that the Pooka wanted to be more than friends who had the occasional drink and conversation. But was that what Jack himself wanted? Sure Bunnymund had the qualities that he wanted most in his dream guy and then some. He was smart, adventurous, strong, loyal, honest, brave, caring and no doubt he was good looking, sexy in fact. However what with how his attempts at romance were horribly shot down amongst his own kind and considering how humans treated homosexuals he had long since given up on ever finding love. Still, being kissed by the Pooka does feel pretty nice and being held by him even better. Besides, he already gave his trust to Bunnymund as a teammate. Why not take the plunge and give him his whole trust in a romantic relationship?

After a few minutes of his inner contemplation Jack slowly but surely wrapped his arms around Bunnymund's neck and kissed him back as best as his inexperience could. He could feel the furry lips smile a bit against his and the kiss was deepened. For a moment that felt like an hour the two Guardians shared a passionate yet loving kissed. Eventually they gently pulled apart and dark silver eyes stared into bright green ones. Neither the Pooka nor the snow spirit spoke and it was only until they felt a drop of rain on their faces did they snap out of their shared trance. The one to break the silence was Bunnymund.

"Well, I know it's a bit bold to kiss before asking for a date but is there still a chance to get a date anyway?"Bunnymund asked. Jack looked him with a dazed face before he smiled a wide loving smile.

"Sure. And don't worry I like my guys bold."Jack said coyly and winked.

"That's a relief to know. Oh, I almost forgot."Bunnymund said and pulled away from Jack to take out something from his bag and pulled out a box that had white snow flake covering dark blue wrapping paper and a white ribbon wrapped around it. The sight of the beautifully wrapped present made Jack gasp in awe.

"Is that for me?"Jack asked hopefully. The sparkle in those dark silver eyes made the Pooka smile proudly that he was responsible for making that sparkle happen.

"Yeah. I've been working on it for a long time now."Bunnymund said and handed the present to Jack. The snow spirit gently and gratefully took the present and ever so slowly untied the ribbon, not wanted to ruin any part of the gift, and took off the box top. What he saw inside made him gasp again.

Inside on a small pillow was a gorgeous pale pink flower surrounded by bright evergreen foliage tied to a string made from both the stem of the flower and pure golden wheat straw.

"Wow. What is this?"Jack asked as he looked from the flower necklace to the Pooka.

"It's a winter rose. I spent a long time growing it and the others like it. Then when I saw that this one was late to bloom I figured it was the perfect one for you, considering your own late tendencies."Bunnymund said jokingly making the immortal teen chuckle.

"Yeah, that sounds right."Jack said in agreement.

"The flower already lasts a long time on it's own, so combined with the mystic spring water I used to help it grow and your own ice powers it'll last even longer and stay as beautiful as it is now."Bunnymund explained. Jack looked at the necklace again and then at the bunny with a wide smile and eyes sparkling happily more than they did before.

"Thank you, Bunnymund. I really love it. Would you do the honors?"Jack asked and held out the box. Bunnymund smiled fondly and nodded.

"Sure."Bunnymund said and took the necklace gently out of the box. Jack got chest to chest with his new boyfriend and let him tie the necklace around his neck. When he felt the arms move from around his neck he held the flower gently in his hands to gaze at its beauty before looking into the smiling face Bunnymund had.

"Thank you again. I'll cherish this always."Jack said.

"And I'll cherish you, too. Now then, let's get going. I know a place out by the country side where there's a costume party going on. Should be real easy for us to blend in and have a good time."Bunnymund said as he took Jack's hand.

"Sure, lead the way."Jack said and held onto the furry hand. It was then that he noticed the light marks on his boyfriend's forearms and they weren't the natural ones he was born with. "Hey, what are those marks on your arms?"Jack asked.

"Hmm? Oh these. Just comes from wearing armor that you grow out of. I need to get a new set."Bunnymund explained. A thoughtful look passed Jack's face but then it changed to
normal.

"I see. Well, let's get going then."Jack said.

"Alright. You'd better hang on tight though."Bunnymund said and Jack wrapped his arms closely around the Pooka's shoulders as he tapped his foot and made a hole then jumped into it and off the couple went.

Three weeks after this, Bunnymund and Jack were still together and all the more in love. They told their friends about the relationship and all were ecstatic for them. Toothiana was cheering happily and cooed over Jack who blushed, North roughly patted Bunnymund on the back and gave a hardy laugh as he congratulated him while the Pooka laughed nervously and Sandman made sand hearts around the two lovers. It was a brand new day as the dawn was rising and a rooster crowed loudly, waking up the last Pooka from his pleasant sleep on his plush cotton stuffed bed. He yawned loudly and stretched his legs, arms and toes. Bunnymund sleepily turned his legs and set his feet on the floor but as he did he felt his feet push something and immediately woke up and looked down to see a long yellow box with oval shaped spots in various colors and a green ribbon with a multi-colored zigzag pattern on it keeping the box tied together. The Pooka looked at the box curiously and picked it up to look at it closer. Upon further inspection he saw that there was a card under the ribbon. He pulled the card out and opened it to read what it said.

'Thanks for the necklace, Kangaroo. Here's something to return the favor. You can toss away that pile of rusted metal now. Looking forward to seeing you for our date at the concert tonight. With love, Frostbite'

Bunnymund smiled and chuckled. That snow spirit is truly something else. Setting the card on the nightstand the Pooka untied the box and took the top off, gasping at what he saw.

"Well I'll be a dingo's supper."Bunnymund said to himself as he smiled at his present.

Meanwhile in the human world Jack was sitting on the roof of a local restaurant as he waited for Bunnymund to show up, smiling happily as he knew his boyfriend would show up with his new armor that he made for him with the help of the yetis. While he was waiting he began to sing the same song he sung three weeks ago when he and Bunnymund got together.

"As sure as the flowers bloom and as sure as the sun shines, spring and summer will come around every time. As sure as the leaves change and as sure as the snow falls, autumn and winter will bring joy to all…."Jack sang softly and before he could go on to the next verse another voice started singing.

"Four seasons so different and yet also the same, because what they share together is the hope with which they came. As sure as the rainbow glows and as sure as the stars burn bright, the happiness and love in our hearts will all grow to new heights."Sang a deep familiar Australian male voice. Jack smiled knowingly and stood up.

"You had me worried, for a minute I thought you wouldn't show up Kangaroo."Jack said and turned to face the shadowed figure.

"I always keep my appointments, Frostbite, especially the important ones."Bunnymund said and stepped into the light making his new armor easy to see.

The metal itself was pristine gold that seemed to glow despite not having enough light. The forearm and ankle armor each had one green emerald that matched Bunnymund's eyes. The strap around his torso was also golden and had emerald gemstone accents to it.

"It looks good on you. I always thought gold was a great color for you."Jack said with a smile.

"Heh, to be frank I never thought it worked for me. It always seemed so flashy."Bunnymund said. Jack flew over to him and gave a chaste kiss to his nose.

"Well don't worry it's not flashy on you at all. Now, last one to the concert has to be North's dance partner."Jack said and without waiting for a reply flew off and the Pooka chuckled.

"I've said it once and I'll say it again mate, you can't race a rabbit. And even if you're cute I won't slow down."Bunnymund said to himself and hopped off swiftly to catch up with Jack.
And that was my first, but not last, BunnyFrost one-shot! I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed making it.

I meant no insult to any homosexuals or lesbians when I used the term 'fag'.

I don't own Rise of the Guardians, DreamWorks does. This story was made for fun. I do however own the song in the story. So if anyone wants to use it you must get my permission first.
